Home Stewardship

Stewardship is the ongoing care of a home and the needs of its homeowner.

There is a list in every home — repairs, issues, to-dos, and concerns. This list becomes the focus of the steward: to prioritize, complete, and communicate. Having that support allows a homeowner to focus on living rather than managing, knowing things will be handled and the house will receive the attention it needs.

It is a return to older values — respect, calm focus, and work done without fuss. That is what gives a homeowner the quiet confidence of knowing their home is in good hands.

Aging In Place

Remaining in a home comfortably, and independently as life changes is a goal many people hold quietly for years before it becomes an immediate concern.

Having an established relationship with someone capable and thoroughly relied upon means that when life does shift, the attention and trust are already there.

Stewardship is a service that grows as the need for it does.

About Van

With 40 years of experience, much of my early work was in renovations and repair in Vancouver— a vocation that needs a broad and practical set of skills. It allows me to handle most issues and improvements a home needs.

Over time, my focus has shifted toward long-term relationships with fewer clients and the steady care of their homes and needs around it. The work has become less about projects and more about people.

I have lived and worked in Kitsilano since 1989 and plan to remain here.
